Purdey : Black and white waiter’s outfit
She wears a frilled white shirt with black waistcoat and loose, pleated trousers. Later with a black leather gloves, jacket & white motorcycle helmet.
Steed wears his slate grey suit and a pale grey shirt, purple tie with white spots, red carnation.

He wears a ribbed brown leather jacket over a white shirt and grey paisley tie; his trousers are taupe. Whe he faces the wintry weather, he adds a cream mackintosh and long white scarf. The grey tie is later torn up to improvise a weapon.

When Steed goes to rescue Purdey, who is the hostage in the episode title, he hides a small pistol in a secret compartment inside the lining of his Herbert Johnson & Sons bowler hat.
