Unstoppable cards: The Avengers

It is very likely that this year we will have a surprise in the form of a new Avengers card set from the company Unstoppable cards.

Company started the release of Avengers cards since 2011.

First set:
Very limited edition, sold only to dealers at the convention "The Entertainment Media Show" at Earls Court on 1 and 2 October 2011.

Then - "The Avengers 50" in 2012, and final on moment, "The Women of The Avengers", in 2014.

On 6 march of current year by company was released set "Yearset 2016" containing promotional cards for classic TV serials and sketches.

Advertising card "YS1" in set presented Steed and Mrs. Peel from b/w season.

That's terrific news!

I've collected all the previous sets of trading cards. The 3 sets issued by Cornerstone in the 90's are my favourites, as they contained a lot of rare shots, but I'm eagerly anticipating these new sets. Rich.

I just wish they were larger or less grainy - some of the shots in those sets are very hard to come by and it would be amazing to really high quality versions of them.

I also rather like the many earlier releases because you could see the complete images on cards. Avengers sets of our century are regularly partly filled with overlays (not always successfully) and as a result, sometimes even if the image on the card is better than what is known to us, the overlays do not play in favor of the set.
Well, I would not mind the small neat overlays, which allow you to enjoy view of the image, actually we have many such sets, but for example, I do not like the approach of design for main Avengers cards like:

Yes, if cards were larger (set of postcards), less grainy, and good choice of images with minimal good located overlays on front, I would have bought several copies of one such set.

I've just had an email from unstoppable. The new set of cards won't be released now til April 2017.

I regularly keep track of news on the company's website, but on moment there is still silence about the planned release. If this is really going to be in April or May, seems we not wait long before some public announcement, I think.

Good news, recently Unstoppable cards released two promo cards for coming new Avengers set. Each promo card with a circulation of 100 copies.

I did email Unstoppable a few weeks ago. Nothing definite yet, but they think June for the cards. I'll post more when I know. The books could be expensive. They have a similar book on Bowie's film The man who fell to Earth, which is signed by the author, and is anyone's for £250

A little surprise that they are thinking of set already in June. I assumed they would release a few more promo cards, and at best the set will appear in the fall. But it's great if the set of trading cards really coming over two months.

Yes, special set with Avengers books seems will expensive, Rich. Will forced to wait for a part or a complete set of this on Ebay or other similar auctions.
