This episode work because it fully embraces what it tries to do.
There is no clever plot or anything, but it is charming and fun.

In my memory this was one of those compromised early Tara episodes.

I think I got this with the episode Game on one of the very early Kult TV VHS tape releases. It's at my mum's house. She's a big Avengers afficionado but I'm not sure she watched the videos!

Though the plot is rather uneven, the episode still has its merits. Personally, it's one I enjoy watching every now and then, specially for the surgery scenes and Tara passing for Prunella.

Good points. The Avengers is often at its most interesting or exciting when it mixes the frivolous and the dangerous well.

Hilary Pritchard was another of those beauties who should have made more appearances in the series! Tom Adams obviously knew a good looking woman when he saw one even if she wasn't interested in him! she died in 1996 I believe!

I though The Hour that Never Was used the dentist's drill to hypnotise the camp, I didn't think the milk was central to the plot except for the dead milkman on the runway.

Interesting to read the previous comments, some 6 years old, about the story being relevant. Here in 2020 the idea of unleashing a virus for which there is no cure is all too real.
