It's really annoying we don't have the script for this episode.

Re: 4.14 - The Town of No Return

I'm watching this again and it's a sheer delight, but it occurs to me I don't know where the original ad breaks were. Was the end of Act 1 the fade when Smallwood is killed, or the fade after Steed suggests it's time Mrs Peel were in bed? The first is more dramatic, but the second seems to fit the ...

Re: The Avengers: The Cathy Gale Years (Via Vision Entertainment)

If they'd had any restoration, I would be impressed. I do think that being a niche release from within a niche interest makes it unlikely but having subtltles is a step forward. Re:

What's actually missing, Denis? 2 seconds in episode Two's a crowd (A&E edition) - footage: ambassador Brodney heads for the door of the Embassy. between scenes: Vogel says "If he does Brodney, you will be coming with us" and Scene in "bar".   I can't find the list of...

On the crew tabs, there's this legend, but the "90% opacity" confused me, what does it signify?

Re: The Dissolute Avengers website

I'd never come across the term "wowserism" before - thanks for educating me! My Antipodean outlook, I had no idea the word was more or less unknown outside Australia & New Zealand. It's a great one, and I'm glad you used it! Only took a moment to google, and the history of it is fasci...

I'm posting my final update for series 4 in a few minutes, so you can see my commentary (and give me corrections :) ) as you go. Just a quickie - there's a link near the bottom of the detail page to "24 @ 25 pulldown (2:2:2:2:2:2:2:2:2:2:2:3 Euro pull-down)." (http://documentation.apple.c...

Re: 4.14 - The Town of No Return

I'd say it's the real Mark Brandon being chased and because they cut that scene they reused the footage to extend the Smallwood chase. He also resembles the real Tom Smallwood (the blacksmith), judging by his brother Jimmy's picture of him, which makes me wonder if it's some kind of odd flashback t...
