Hello all. I have just ordered the set from Amazon. Can't wait to see Steed's flat in more detail. Someone once made a collage of pictures so one can see the whole at one glance. I loved that. The sets in series four was wonderful I think in general. The time I have spent watching the "The Pris...

I have just bought the fifth season on iTunes. The quality is one notch higher than the "new" dvd release. AND is has subtitles. Casual vievers won't notice it. But I appreciate the difference. Much more stable colours (no flickering even when pausing the picture) and the sharpness of peop...

Hot Show 50 years anniversary recording day

Today it is 50 years ago Hot Snow was recorded.
Let's raise our glasses for half a century of Avengering but wait for the champagne until the 7th of January (or tomorrow for New Year's Eve). Let's use sherry tonight.

Decapod, touch and scream!

I have just watched Decapod (season 2) and many things struck me due to the passage of time, but the most outstanding thing that kept me thinking was the scene between Venus Smith and the president, where he kept touching her at the embassy, at the end of the episode - before the final conflict at t...

Release dates of seasons 5 and 6

I have been wondering about the dvd release dates of the last two seasons. Only one week apart according to Amazon.co.uk. Late september and early october.
It sounds odd. Wonderful - but too good to be true, isn't it?
Is anyone at this forum better informed than Amazon, someone who could enlighten me?

I'm going to London, do they have a mail box, does anyone know? That would be cool to deliver by hand, almost. On Google Street View it looks a very anonymous address.

This was the first thing I did when I got the first/second season set: checking the difference between the old one and the new one.
The picture quality is much better, no doubt about that. The sound, though, is still (alas) poor.

Recieved mine today! A big, big thanks to all involved. I had also the misfortune to having never gotten the 6th dvd I think it was (it was missing in the set I bought) and said so in my letter I sent along with the faulty dvd's. Optimum, with great grace, gave my that one as well. Fantastic service...

I think we all do. But with all new Blu Ray releases, 7 months will become 14 or 21 months, just look at the French ditto release plans. The Prisoner was delayed two years I think.
I am certainly planning on buying the dvd release this spring no matter how soon a Blu Ray is said to be released. :D
