As so many people seem to want to have an Avengers ringtone, I'm making the following files available - it's not the entire tune, just the signature (are you really going to wait until the tune finishes before you answer the 'phone?)
I've made a variety of versions, and they're all here. The nokia 9100/9000 version I did not make, it comes from Simon Abbott's very useful site, http://www.simonabbott.dial.pipex.com/. It is different to all the other versions. If you want it for yourself, I recommend using NokiaConverter to convert it to a format for your 'phone.
Some of you may remember The Allies from a few years ago - part of the Seattle scene, they put out a single called "Emma Peel". I like a lot, and I've just had word that the CD has been re-released, and you can order it from here.
Why "A Chorus of Frogs"? Let's call it homage to New Order's fantastic 1985 single The Perfect Kiss [FAC 123]
| av6110.t61 | Nokia 6110 format |
| avengers.321 | Nokia Composer format |
| avengers.key | Nokia 3310+ format - key presses to put the tone in on the Composer screen of your 'phone |
| avengers.txt | Nokia RTTL format |
| avengers.000 | Nokia 9100/9000 format |
| season4.mp3 | {136k} | MP3 version of the theme tune (Season Four, Laurie Johnson's theme). |
|---|---|---|
| keep_it_friendly.mp3 | {1 MB} | MP3 version of the B-side of the hit single, entitled "Let's keep it friendly" - Patrick really isn't up to scratch on this one! |
| kinkyboots.ra | {180k} | Realaudio version of Honor Blackman and Patrick Macnee's twice hit-single "Kinky Boots" |
| needed.wav | {64k} | "Mrs Peel, We're Needed!" spoken by Patrick Macnee - WAV file. |
I recommend that interested visitors check out The Avengers Soundpage by Linus Törnqvist - Real Audio and WAV files of all manner of sounds and music from the series.
Linus is no longer updating the site, but most the files are still there.
Alternatively, Scott Brockman has released a CD with as track called "Emma Peel"; more information can be found here.
