What's (somewhat) New? |
I'm now a reseller for CalendarMart for the new Avengers calendar - click here to preview and buy the calendar from this site and support our endeavours.
Updated the page for Mission... Highly Improbable - Chivers' full name, a nuance of Mrs Peel's fashion (also updated here), some saucy dialogue and a couple of continuity errors.
Another fashion tip added for From Venus With Love.
Added a new link to American televisioN on the links page. I've also improved the copy on the Episode Guide entry page, and changed a few episodes.
Two new images on the John Steed, Esq. page, and three somewhat racy images on the Mrs Peel... We're Needed! page brings the number of images on the site to 500. That's two reasons to crack open a bottle of bubbly in as many days!
Changed the navigation bar a bit too.
Some time over the last four days (probably on Sunday) we broke the 100,000 mark for visitors. Thanks to all who've stopped by on their journeys through the web.
I've put the navigation in a separate frame.
Back from a serious hard disk problem with a new update... The Avengers title in Estonian and the appropriate flag image on the Internationalists page. That makes image number 495; only 5 to break 500, and I'm thinking I know exactly where to put them.
Here's hoping that next year at this time we'll be swanning around England and Estonia.
I've removed the "Your own copy" links from the Mrs Peel... We're Needed! and John Steed, Esq. pages - you can always right-click/shift-click/hold button on the picture window anyway. I've also reduced the file sizes, saving another 324k.
Another email from the indefatigable Joseph, so more updates to the Motor Cars Guide, as well as added trivia on the Return of the Cybernauts and Dead Man's Treasure pages. It's beginning to look like Gladys Goldsmith wasn't that good a continuity girl after all...
Finished up properly cross-referencing all references to the episodes.
A rethink for a fair amount of the Who's Who??? page - I've listed all the agents of the Floral network, and identified the dead ones, and made corrections here and there.
Corrections also for The Joker (the junked car in the garage) and Mission... Highly Improbable (Mrs Peel's telephone number, several cars corrected, and a bit of trivia). The Motor Cars Guide has therefore been updated (again).
A new link on the web links page for the really quite good Guide to Avengerland.
More corrections from Joseph, detailing interesting trivia and continuity errors in Return of the Cybernauts, as well as amendments to the cars in that episode, and in From Venus With Love, The Fear Merchants and Death's Door, meaning more updates to the Motor Cars Guide.
Fixed a few broken links in the Motor Cars Guide, especially all the GTA London'69 graphics, all of which were broken, but now aren't.
Oh, and a bit of website trivia for you - this site now has 494 images throughout its pages (60 of them), and uses up almost exactly 10Mb of disk space.
Joseph sent me his review for A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Station, so I've updated that, along with all the pages affected by changes in his personal Top 5.
I've also added a few more car images to the Motor Cars Guide (we'll, replaced the existing ones with better images) and I've updated the number plate for Gilbert's Humber Super Snipe in The Fear Merchants.
All the pages of the Episode Guide are now up to date with the new cars information also.
Added a few more car images to the Motor Cars Guide.
I've included an image of the Alvis TE21 for comparison purposes, as Joseph thinks the car in question is this model, and I've corrected an entry, where I'd mis-identified a Triumph TR3A as an Austin Healey.
Correction of the cast and crew list for Mission Highly Improbable, and the cleaning up of the layout of a few other cast lists.
Also added a lot of car images to the Motor Cars Guide.
I'll update the affected episode pages as soon as possible.
I've made a few changes to the Motor Cars Guide - a Bedford tiptruck in The See-Through Man and a few minor corrections to Dead Man's Treasure and You Have Just Been Murdered.
I've also changed the English Avengers logo on the International Avengers page.
