What's (vaguely) New? |
A mug shot of Dennis Chinnery as Dobson has been added to the Killing Fields, and to the page for Something Nasty in the Nursery. Also made a minor update to the Internationalists page - thanks to Janne and Jennie!
I've also added a new image of Tara's AC428 from The Forget-Me-Knot, and the veteran taxi from the end of Escape in Time to the Motor Cars Guide. The taxi picture affords a good view of Mrs Peel's silk outfit from Escape in time, so it's been added to the Fashion Guide at the appropriate spot.
Several new flags have gone up on the International Avengers page, along with the name of the series in all the languages represented. Email me if you have any corrections or additions.
A rewatching of Murdersville meant an update for its page - I've spotted another car, another killing and a bunch of continuity errors.
Having just watched The Forget-Me Knot again, I notice I've been a bit rough on it when reviewing it, so I've reconsidered my ratings. It's now placed above The See-Through Man, my new wooden spoon recipient. Check out the Top 5 page for more information.
I've also made another change to the Mrs Peel... We're Needed! page, a short (and somewhat sketchy) section on The Minikillers, and a shorter section on On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
On Diana Rigg's 61st birthday, I'd like to send a birthday greeting to the Dame - Bonne anniversaire! - and I've also changed (somewhat appropriately) the Mrs Peel... We're Needed page, with a possible identification of the bikini photo as being from the elusive "The Minikillers". If any can tell me, or better yet, send me a copy, then let me know!
Minor correction made to parts of the Episode Guide as I proofed all the pages, and added all the new data from the Automobile Guide, which I have renamed the "Motor Car Guide". Fixed a few links that were broken.
Full cast and crew list added for:
Escape In Time, The See-Through Man, Never, Never Say Die, Who's Who???, Murdersville, Mission Highly Improbable and The Forget-Me-Knot. So that's all of them done!
I've also completed the new version of the Cars Guide - but they're not incorporated in the latest Episode Guide yet.
Full cast and crew list added for:
The Correct Way to Kill, Epic, The Superlative Seven, Something Nasty in the Nursery and The Joker.
I've also corrected part of the page for A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Station,
and included in the full cast lists these two pieces of text:
|
Nick at Nite (Australia) is starting a repeat season of The Avengers, check the TV Times page for details.
Full cast and crew list added for:
The Bird Who Knew Too Much, The Winged Avenger, The Living Dead, The Hidden Tiger, The Return of the Cybernauts,
Death's Door, The £50,000 Breakfast, Dead Man's Treasure, You Have Just Been Murdered and The Positive-Negative Man
Oh, and I noticed a couple more episodes that snuck to air Stateside before they could be shown in Britain, so the main page of the Episode Guide and the International Avengers page have been corrected.
The full credits list, including Hairdressing and Supervisory Electrician, is now up for From Venus With Love and The Fear Merchants - a bit of a test case until I have all the details, the rest should be complete by next week as they look pretty good.
I've added a few more updates to the Cars Guide, and expect to complete that by next week as well - only three episodes to go!
The Italian episode titles are now in the International Avengers page, having been kindly supplied by Roberto Falappi. Unfortunately, he doesn't know the original transmission dates for Italy, does anyone else know them? They're also on the Episode guide pages. The original (ITV/ABC) TX dates are also on the International Avengers page, along with a couple of new heading gifs - one Italian, one English.
Oh, and I fixed a couple of broken image links, and put the "next" and "previous" links at toe top of each episode page as well as the bottom.
The French original transmission dates (TX dates) are now in the International Avengers page, courtesy of David Fakrikian, and I've also put them onto all the pages of the Episode Guide, along with the French and German episode titles. Still awaiting the Italian titles & TX...
Added a link to the Top 5 page to the navigation header, and regenerated the All episodes in one page, and its ASCII text version (Everything except the reviews in both copies).
Oh, and I replaced the "6-10" buttons, they're more like what I really wanted now - it's hard to get things just right at this size.
New images added to the Episode Guide - all episodes have five images, and some that appeared in the Fashion Guide are no longer in the episode pages. From Venus With Love, The Fear Merchants, The See-Through Man, The Bird Who Knew Too Much, The Living Dead, The Correct Way To Kill, Never, Never Say Die, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Station, The Joker, You Have Just Been Murdered, The Positive-Negative Man and Mission... Highly Improbable have all been changed. A total of thirteen new images.
Also changed the stamp on the envelope on the About Us page. It's now a picture from our wedding album.
Updated the Killing Fields with a bloodspot graphic indicating messier killings, and corrected a few entries - these also appear in the episode pages for Dead Man's Treasure, You Have Just Been Murdered and Murdersville. I've also fixed the fashion notes for From Venus With Love, and added some trivia to the Escape in Time page.
Oh yes, and I've finally got around to splitting this page up.
Added mug shots for Lord Mansford (From Venus with Love), Peter Roberts (The Winged Avenger), Carl (Dead Man's Treasure), Sir Gerald Bancroft and Captain Gifford (Mission... Highly Improbable). (Don't tell anyone, but they're screen grabs from episodes of "Dr Who"...)
Also fixed a few bits of the episode guide (the pages above, plus Epic and Something Nasty..) and cleaned up all my messy bits of HTML throughout the site. Some of those episode pages... crikey.
After several exhausting weeks, I've finally finished the reviews for all the episodes in the Episode Guide, and collated a Top Five Episodes page. I've also fixed a few errors in the Killing Fields.
Oh, and I've discarded the cookie altogether now.
I've shrunk the text for the production details on the pages of the Episode Guide, and added a mug shot for the unfortunate Lucas in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Station. Another continuity error had been detected in The Joker as well.
