What's New?

Note: updates to the TV Times page will not be listed here.
30 November 1999

Every single episode has been updated with the new-look Who's Killing Whom? information, and a few other things besides...

29 November 1999

The Killing Fields take on a new look, with mug shots of the killers added (well... not yet really. I'll be adding them ASAP). This change has also occurred on the From Venus With Love page.
I've also made amendments to several cast and crew lists, and noted two possible extra deaths in Return of the Cybernauts.

26 November 1999

Full reworkings for The Superlative Seven, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Station and Something Nasty in the Nursery, plus a correction or two to the first page of the Fashion Guide.

I've cleaned up the continuity/trivia section of From Venus With Love, it was pretty messy.
Gabrielle Drake's persona from UFO, Lt. Gay Ellis is now pictures on the The Hidden Tiger page, along with her rôle as Angora. Updates also for Never, Never Say Die, and Epic (continuity, and other bits, now being better illustrated).

We've added an extra 259 images in less than a fortnight!

23 November 1999

A missing outfit for Never, Never Say Die illustrated (a href=fashion5.html#2-1>here), reoccurring props pictured on the new-look Epic page. Plus cars for that episode, a mug shot for David Lodge as a policeman, and cars for the preceding episode too.

The props were also included in other pages, for From Venus With Love and The Winged Avenger.

22 November 1999

The somewhat tardy Dr Manx finally takes his place in the mugshot gallery that is The Killing Fields (and appears on the Hidden Tiger page too).

Never, Never Say Die and Epic get the new look, but the details are yet to come.

18 November 1999

Still more makeovers, The Winged Avenger, The Living Dead and The Hidden Tiger getting revamped. That's episodes 1-9 done! (except for Dr Manx's mug shot)

So, the Killing Fields and Fashion Guide (page 1 to 4 anyway) are up to date. So too, the Motor Cars Guide. Over the past few days, new images for the following vehicles have gone up:

Caterpillar Tractor - From Venus With Love

Bentley Green Label 1928 - The Fear Merchants
Rolls Royce Silver Cloud III
Fowler Bulldozer

Roll Royce 20/25 hearse
(another view)
- Escape In Time
Triumph Bonneville T120

Lansing-Bagnell trolley - The Living Dead
Willy's jeeps

Mini Moke milk trucks - The Hidden Tiger

Citroën DS Pallas - The Correct Way To Kill
Unidentified small commercial van

If you know what the marque of the van is, tell me at piers -at- mighty.com.au! I'm guessing it's a Hillman or a Ford Thames or something...

17 November 1999

More new work, with The Fear Merchants and Escape In Time getting the treatment. The Killing Fields Motor Cars Guide and Fashion Guide have been updated. The first five episodes are now all with the new look.

I've also listed the people scared out of their wits in The Fear Merchants under the Killing Fields, under a subheading of Shocked! - I know they're not dead, but I wanted to list them somewhere.

16 November 1999

From Venus With Love undergoes the New Look (maybe I should change my name to Dior). Some trivia, a spot-the-uncredited-actor spot and mug shots for Hadley, Mansford and Primble. Plus a new car! (well, tractor...) Fashion updates too, so everything I updated yesterday has been changed again. Expect a lot of this.

15 November 1999

Continuing my reworking, The See-Through Man and The Bird Who Knew Too Much have been updated, and will set the tone for the new look. They have the opening titles and "Mrs Peel! We're Needed" scene on their pages, and the mug shots of the unfortunate victims have been added:
Ackroyd and Daviot in the first - I've also linked bigger pictures of Daviot and Major Vazin to the page, on the off-chance that someone will identify these uncredited actors.
Danvers, Elrick and Pearson to the second page.

Consequently, the Motor Cars Guide,
- including images of an old taxi (another view, and another), a Bedford truck and an Austin 1800 -
Killing Fields and Fashion Guide (notably here, here and here) have been updated also.

12 November 1999

The first of the new material goes up - The Correct Way To Kill has all of its victims pictures - 4 new mug shots and two other replaced - and the title and subtitle screens are on the page as well. "We're Needed!" scene coming soon.

11 November 1999

Joseph's just changed his mind about a couple of episodes: Who's Who??? and The Positive-Negative Man get major make-overs, and The Living Dead undergoes a minor rewrite.

Elsewhere, Steve Lefebvre from Belgium has brought a couple of continuity errors to my notice, and I spotted a couple more when viewing the episodes in question: Murdersville has the infamous chameleon catsuit, The Bird Who Knew Too Much has a vanishing Lotus Elan and wandering sculpture, and The Winged Avenger shares that sculpture with the preceding episode.

I've also re-split this page; and changed the plimsoll line on the Episode Guide - it gauges popularity by the thousands now, and the first episode is still too popular for the indicator.

In other news, I've digitised new images from the first 9 episodes, and will put up the new content by week's end.

Remember the fallen this day...

8 November 1999

The Internationalists page has been updated with the correct titles for A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Station and The Positive-Negative Man, as have those episodes' pages.

We've just borrowed someone's AV Mac, so expect to see all the gaps in the Fashion Guide, as well as the Killing Fields and the Cars, filled in the next few days.

29 October 1999

Okay, I will mention the TV Times page, but only because it's important. Tonight, the ABC will start screening The Mrs Bradley Mysteries, starring Diana Rigg. For more information, have a look at the TV Times page. Make sure you tune in!

Spell checked the entire site... it's all much better now.

15 October 1999

Joseph has just sent in his review for The Hidden Tiger; of course, he loved it, and it's his new no.1 episode. This meant updates to the Top 5 and the Episode Guide,as well as all the affected episode pages (Venus.., Escape.., A Funny Thing..., Death's Door, Dead Man's..).

14 October 1999

I've finally reworked the front page so that IE users can see all the different TV screens. Try it out! (Unfortunately, the dial on the TV is only for Netscape and IE5 users.)
They get a couple of extra images...

I've also put all the lower pages into a dynamic frameset, rather than relying on multiple frame documents. This would only be of interest to the geeks out there.

11 October 1999

Australian fans will be pleased to learn that the ABC will be showing "The Mrs Bradley Mysteries", starring Diana Rigg, in the coming season.

I've added two new images to the Mrs Peel... We're Needed! page, supplied by Don Mackay.

On top of that, I've done a quick, if somewhat unflattering, review of Geoff Barlow's Avengers stories. It's on the links page.
