What's New?

25 June 2002
The cute egghead from The Master Minds has been identified by Yves Lambert as Australian model and actress Elizabeth Reber, now a successful painter living in Paris.
Elsewhere, we have new continuity errors and trivia for Escape in Time, The See-Through Man and The Bird Who Knew too Much; as well as a few minor text changes here and there.
18 June 2002
Neil Redding had the great idea of turning my episode synopses into a PDF, for easy printing and ready reference when watch the DVDs. It's colour-coded to match the A&E releases, so finding the right page is a doddle!
Download it right here, or from the episode guide introduction or Other episode guides page.
12 June 2002
Hilary in Murdersville has been identified as Hilary Dwyer, thanks to one of Mike Noon's Press Releases at ...deadline....
Similarly, the correct Spanish title for Two's a Crowd has been found in a press release at Los Vengadores, along with the correct spelling of 'cibernautas'.
6 June 2002
All the villains from Season Five are now properly recognised and linked through to the Diabolical Masterminds guide, on both the episode pages and wherever they turn up in the regular guest and other television appearances lists.
29 May 2002
Mitchell is removed from the casualty list for Escape in Time, as Rocky turns up later (unless I'm very much mistaken). It wouldn't be the first time. Last modified format changed, for the train spotters.

Continuity errors updated for The Fear Merchants, including a new image; yet more site optimisation too. Tempo of the Avengers ringtones fixed.
17 May 2002
Having just stumbled across the Twiggy website http://www.queenofmod.com/, I've discovered that Mrs Peel's outfit from the opening scene of The Bird Who Knew Too Much - worn by Twiggy in a photoshoot with Patrick Macnee - is in fact a navy tunic with a silk sundress over it.
The Fashion Guide (page 3) has been updated accordingly, including two pictures of Twiggy from the photoshoot. In other fashion updates, Escape in time and the Fashion Guide (page 2) has also been updated, but only in the text as I've decided Mrs Peel's wearing hipsters and a skivvy rather than a catsuit.
8 May 2002
New props images (11 all-new, 6 others sensibly sharing resources with the episode and fashion guides) for From Venus with Love, and a general clean-up of the props pages.
8 May 2002
New images for From Venus with Love - 10 new continuity error images, one other removed; replacement of 3 of the clickable images with larger versions, one other completely replaced with a new image of Barbara Shelley.
Also, we've passed the 200,000 visitor mark, thank you all for making this site a success; we improve it constantly (another change to every page of the site today, making for faster downloads, but you won't notice a thing, we promise).
24-30 April 2002
Site overhaul - code clean-up and spell checking of every page of the site. You shouldn't notice a thing, except that I've corrected a few fashions and names, and added a couple of extra continuity errors. Expect more of these soon, as we're watching the lot all the way through again now. Also corrected the link for The TARDIS keyhole on the other shows page (thanks to Robin Hicks).
12 April 2002
Avengers dolls available soon!
Steve Walker of Product Enterprise ltd has written to me to say that his UK-based toy design and manufacturing company has been granted the license to produce a range of 12" collector dolls from The Avengers that will feature real clothes and hair.
The first dolls in the range will be Steed & Emma, in clothes from the 65 title sequence. (Emma's black leather catsuit with silver zips and buckles, Steed's navy suit and black bowler).

Have a look at their website at http://www.prod-ent.freeserve.co.uk
(They also do a range of Doctor Who and Carry On toys too), or cut straight to the chase for Avengers memorabilia here.
27 March 2002
IE users, and I know they're the majority these days, finally get all the functionality this site has to offer, with the pop-up image window resizing on each new image load (previously only Netscape users could do this).

Slightly off-topic, but pertinent nonetheless, Diana Rigg is touring Australia and New Zealand with Derek Jacobi, Donald Sinden and Ian Richardson as the leads (and what leads!) in the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of "The Hollow Crown". go here for more information.
21 March 2002
Christophe Henry wins the prize for being the first to correct my Transport Guide, spotting two references to a Humber Super Sprite - instead of Snipe (must have been thinking about graphics when I did that). He's also corrected the entry for Ivan's Citroën in The Correct Way to Kill - clearly not a 1966 model, as previously stated.
What were we thinking?
14 March 2002
A major update to-day, with 359 new images being added for the Propellant 23 (Transport Guide). Screen grabs of every form of transport used in the show, including three wheelchairs. (NB I have left out a few horses from Silent Dust, and some of the 'extra' aeroplanes from The Superlative Seven - the 'planes are in the continuity/trivia section anyway, and the horses are mostly covered by the composite image I've used.
Now for the flood of complaints and corrections about my guide...

Elsewhere, I've added two more (very minor) cast members, fixed a few broken links (going to and from the Season Four Fashions and their respective episodes), corrected a few images in the Diabolical Masterminds and Regular Guests guides, and I've put the Supporting Cast page on ice for the time being - it's out of date and mostly covered by the Regular Guests guide anyway.
27 February 2002
Nokia ringtones of the Emma Peel era Avengers theme (for most models) have been added to the Chorus of Frogs page, plus a WAV file preview of the tone.
20 February 2002
A couple of small fixes - a new identified extra (Alan Chuntz) in The Bird Who Knew Too Much, and Martin Miller is identified as Professor Spencer in The Masterminds (thanks to Stephen Brooke for confirming my suspicion). A Touch of Brimstone has a better mugshot for one of the theatre goers and The Hidden Tiger receives better images for the continuity and trivia section. Eight new images in all.
14 February 2002
Welcome to the new site.
My funny valentine... a Valentine's Day gift to you, a new site and literally hundreds of new images. Season Four is added to the Fashion Guide, introducing 10 new pages and 720 new images; while over in the Episode Guide, all of the episodes yet to receive the DVD makeover have had their upgrade, that episodes 1-11 of Season Five (with about 130 new or replaced images), so you can all revel in the clarity of the digital vision. Enjoy!
Oh, and I've cleaned up the Links page to fix broken links and remove a few duds.
