The Radioactive Man

by Fred Edge

Marko, an illegal immigrant, believes that if the Police find him they will deport him for having a forged passport. In reality, the Police are searching for him urgently, because he is carrying a radiocative isotope capable of killing any one in close proximity. After help from Marko's girlfriend Mary, Keel traces Marko using a geiger-counter to Milan: a crook that smuggles immigrants for money. With the isotope surrounded by lead, Marko and Milan are taken to hospital for treatment.

Minutiæ

  1. Industry stalwart and regular guest actor, Gerald Sim, was cast to play Dr Graham but was replaced, by Arthur Lawrence (possibly Arthur Laurence, slightly miscredited). The TV Times lists Gerald Sim in the part so it must have been a late change.
  2. The original scripts lists the characters: Frane (Zvone), played by Mira Tomek, and Inica (Janez), played by Madeleine Kasket.
The names in parentheses are not surnames, but Patrick Brawn's references to Fred Edge's original screenplay for Canadian television where the characters had those names instead of those used by the re-write for "The Avengers".
