The bumpers between the acts are generally 10 seconds from fade in to the "End of Act" bumper to the end of audio before the commercial, a 10 second still without audio, then cut to the next act bumper. This would play with the theme for around 10 seconds. Accordingly, with the episodes being in 3 acts, the running time of the action is approximately a minute less than listed above, minus the opening and closing credits (normally 0'16", with a 2" fade, and anywhere from 0'41" to 1'20", hard cut or 1" fade or mix, respectively).

Time codes here include the Studio Canal logo from the remastered 2010 set, which takes 0:18 seconds.
- This episode was remade in colour, almost word for word, as The Joker with Diana Rigg as Emma Peel in Cathy's rôle. In that episode, Emma drives herself to Devon and Steed follows when he discovers that their old nemesis is on the loose.
Consequently, many of the lines spoken by Steed in this version are spoken by Emma in the remake.
- 3:15 - hair at top right of the camera lens
- 4:19 - VTR insert - This episode features an unusual scene for this season; a long exterior of Steed driving Cathy down to Devon in his newly-acquired Lagonda, GX 3235. They pass The Royal Oak in Richmond on Thames.
- The episode actually features two cars (plus incidental background vehicles), Steed's Lagonda and an old Rolls Royce hearse, which almost certainly was the same one as in The Undertakers.
- 35:45 - remastering error or original slip up? We briefly see the "An ABC Production" slide before the slide for "End of Act Two".
- 45:00-47:00 - Martin recounts their time together in Berlin in 1953. Cathy and Martin used to eat at a restaurant on the Shillerstrasse; she said the waiter with the red face looked like a Rembrandt painting. They went riding in the Reichenstrasse and Cathy insisted on riding to the Western Tor, even though there was going to be a thunder storm. they were soaked to the skin and returned to her hotel. She told him his flight was cancelled because of the storm, but it was a trick by her and Steed to keep him there. When he emebrged, the police waiting in the street were soaked by the storm.
- 49:37 - there's no cordite burn on Goodman's shirt after Cathy fires her gun - even a blank would damage a shirt at that range.
- 50:56 - Cathy is furious when she thinks Steed knew Goodman was at the house and he left her there alone; he assures her that he saw a story about Sir Cavalier addressing a conference overseas and rushed back as soon as he could.
