And Soon The Darkness has a feel of something between The Avengers, The New Avengers, and the stalkerish The Joker/Don't Look Behind You-like episodes of Brian Clemens' Thriller...

Given the names involved in making it, it's probably a must-watch for Avengers fans:

A strategically chosen screenshot could challenge even the most ardent fans. Every now and then German TV repeats the 60s West-German Edgar Wallace films of which certain shots could pass for THE AVENGERS or an ITC series. Anything from the sixties is going to be a candidate for looking a like.

I remember seeing NIGHT OF THE EAGLE on tv and immediately getting the AVENGERS series four vibe, which was interesting given the overlap in crew with The Avengers. There are many that qualify, but a list of the most similar would be interesting.

Another film starring Roger Moore "The Fiction Makers" (1968) for TV, has an Avengers feel. Its Screenplay writer John Kruse wrote 'Tunnel Of Fear' and the director was well known Avengers director Roy Ward Baker. Probably lots more.

here's another offering...The Liquidator...MGM. 1966....originally filmed in 1965, didn't see release almost a year later..with Rod Taylor, as Boysie Oakes...and Jill St. John.

Films that have the tone and feel, as well as the look, of the Avengers series. I would add Michael Winner's The Jokers https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0060566/ , The Internecine Project https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071663/ and of course the wonderful The Tenth Victim https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0059095/?r ... g_i_85_act

great choice...just watched it on dvd, the other night...I'm usually not a big fan of Ms. Welch's films, but this one was a cool 'b' spy film...not only could she act, but she had some great assets, as well...lol

20th century fox released this on dvd, as part of a spy package..Modesrty Blake, Fathom, the James Coburns ' Flint movies...
