nice...loved seeing Roger Moore and Linda Thorson, from that time frame..and for Roger, he is the SAINT. I know I'll catch flak for typing this, but Moore was never James Bond...and couldn't pull it off....but, there's a slew of fans of Roger's tenure as 007...so it's all good...
shame that Linda never went on to be a Bond girl....

wondering if that contact sheet was done around the time Linda was wearing a wig, due to her hair / scalp getting damaged in a faulty hair dye.

Being charitable, perhaps the production company wanted her to look as different from Diana Rigg as possible to avoid comparisons. She was her own character, after all. But I much prefer her being brunette and without a peculiar perm.

I would agree with your assessment..and they were trying to take the female agent , in another direction, per say.. and yeah, she didn't look all that smashing being blonde...Mrs. Gale did...and that's another story

Is this a genuine pic or has it been "sexed up"?
I don't recall her smoking cigarettes much in photos.
Edited to add: This (below) looks like the genuine source photo - and yes, she is smoking! (Linda didn't seem to mind the ciggie showing, as she signed the photo anyway.)
Ridiculous how some of these web images are manipulated. They're not even Tara's own undies (which she did flash on occasion in the series)!
