Well, it's going to be a long time until anyone reaches 3,000 posts. On another forum I have about 8,000 posts.

I find rankings childish and even insulting.

We're not in a contest here.

I've found rankings can make some people post rubbish just to have a post counted. 'Just 'cause.

I don't think we'll have too much of a problem here. Every one has conducted themselves very well on this forum as well as the old. The ranks are a just for fun thing and may just brighten up someone's day.
Every parent has a favorite child. Usually the child belongs to the neighbors.

I wouldn't be too sure, a girl at the Spooks forum I frequent has managed to rack up 34,103 in just 22 months.

Perhaps it would be better if it was.

Dozens and dozens of character obsession threads, with 100s of pages - many of them about Harry and Ruth (Peter Firth & Nicola Walker) and 511 pages discussing fan fics.

The forum seems to be about 95% female.
